Sarah Morgan launched #BlackBlogsMatter as a 28-day blog challenge in 2017. Covering topics like “I Am Not My Hair” and “Being First & Only”, the blog challenge writing prompts were used to inspire new content and spark more conversation about bias, discrimination and microaggression as well as diversity, inclusion and equity in the workplace and worldplace.
#BlackBlogsMatter continues to drive conversation and provide a place for bloggers to support and share content. The goal of the platform is to continue to grow its blogroll across genres and create opportunities for bloggers to learn more about building a successful blog following and to earn more thru sponsors and paid writing partnerships.

Sarah Morgan created the HROI Summit to fill a void in the seminar marketplace for affordable training and coaching events. After many years of attending HR seminars and conferences, Sarah noticed the content from the presentations was becoming less practical and actionable. She also noticed more direct coaching for the people who manage people after attending seminars and conferences was needed to ensure the learning turns to action and programming. Without these kinds of return on investment, organizations become less willing to set aside budget for professional development and continuing education.
The HROI Summit is designed for Leaders, Managers and HR professionals seeking a learning event that will provide practical advice and instruction followed by ongoing coaching.
HROI Summit attendees will receive an in-depth training seminar style to create progressive policies and programming initiatives to manifest positive, inclusive workplaces during summit sessions. HROI Summit attendees will have the opportunity to buy-up for individual and group coaching sessions for 6- to 8-weeks with seminar leaders to dive deeper into the session topics in a more intentional, personal way.
The goal is for attendees of the HROI Summit is to leave the event with a blueprint for programming success for updated policies and programs to make our workplaces more modern places where culture is clear and everyone employed feels a strong sense of belonging and acceptance.
